February 15, 2011 Board Meeting Agenda Item #24 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #11-0008 FOR DISTRICT-WIDE PAINTING SERVICES Description Bids to provide 'District-Wide Painting Services' were received from eighteen vendors on December 14, 2010.  The bids of Above the Rest Contractors, Boro Building and Property Maintenance, GCSI-Paintscape, Inc., and Mailloux and Sons, Inc., were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications based on a sealed scenario.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  The funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department.  Recommendation That the bids of Above the Rest Contractors, Boro Building and Property Maintenance, GCSI-Paintscape, Inc., and Mailloux and Sons, Inc., to provide 'District-Wide Painting Services' in an amount not to exceed $900,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
